Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sara Vanderbeek could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Day Sale auction, the work Triangle Composition Number 3 changed hands for GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,276.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sara Vanderbeek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Athena, which sold at auction in March 2017 for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,440.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sara Vanderbeek konnte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Triangle Composition Number 3 für GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.276,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sara Vanderbeek mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Athena beobachtet, die im März 2017 für USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.440,08) versteigert wurde.
