Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still life with roses and an open book by Samuel John Peploe was sold in the The Scottish Sale auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 250,250.00 (€ 296,478.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Samuel John Peploe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life with Tulips, which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 992,750.00 (€ 1,121,976.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still life with roses and an open book von Samuel John Peploe wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion The Scottish Sale bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 250.250,00 (€ 296.478,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Samuel John Peploe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life with Tulips beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für GBP 992.750,00 (€ 1.121.976,68) versteigert wurde.
