Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale, which included the work Pink Roses In A Glass Vase by Samuel John Peploe. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 81,900.00 (€ 95,412.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel John Peploe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life with Tulips in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 992,750.00 (€ 1,121,976.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pink Roses In A Glass Vase von Samuel John Peploe zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 81.900,00 (€ 95.412,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel John Peploe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life with Tulips im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 992.750,00 (€ 1.121.976,68).
