Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Eilean Annraidh from the North End, Iona by Samuel John Peploe was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. It achieved a price of GBP 70,250.00 (€ 80,666.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel John Peploe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life with Tulips in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 992,750.00 (€ 1,121,976.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Eilean Annraidh from the North End, Iona von Samuel John Peploe kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 70.250,00 (€ 80.666,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel John Peploe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life with Tulips im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 992.750,00 (€ 1.121.976,68).
