Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The North End, Iona by Samuel John Peploe was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 28,160.00 (€ 32,335.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel John Peploe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life with Tulips in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 992,750.00 (€ 1,121,976.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The North End, Iona von Samuel John Peploe wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 28.160,00 (€ 32.335,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel John Peploe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life with Tulips im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 992.750,00 (€ 1.121.976,68).
