A top price for Samuel John Peploe
The work Still Life with Tulips by Samuel John Peploe was sold in the Modern British Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in June 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 992,750.00 (€ 1,121,976.68), 24% above the upper estimate. With this result, Still Life with Tulips is even the most expensive work of art by Samuel John Peploe that we have observed at auctions so far.
