Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October last year Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale, which included the work Church At Cassis by Samuel John Peploe. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 81,900.00 (€ 95,412.59). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel John Peploe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life with Tulips in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 992,750.00 (€ 1,121,976.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Church At Cassis von Samuel John Peploe zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 81.900,00 (€ 95.412,59) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel John Peploe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life with Tulips im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 992.750,00 (€ 1.121.976,68).
