Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life of Pink and Red Roses in a Vase by Samuel John Peploe was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 201,600.00 (€ 236,697.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Samuel John Peploe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Tulips in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 992,750.00 (€ 1,121,976.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life of Pink and Red Roses in a Vase von Samuel John Peploe wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 201.600,00 (€ 236.697,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Samuel John Peploe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life with Tulips im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 992.750,00 (€ 1.121.976,68).
