Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Lady Traditionally Identified As Mary Paulet, Marchioness Of Winchester, Circa 1660 by Samuel Cooper was sold in the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III auction at Sothebys in London in December 2019. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,613.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Gentleman Called John Campbell, Earl of Loudoun (1598-1663), In Gilt-Studded Armour, Large White Patterned Lawn Collar; Sky And Cloud Background in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 66,000.00 (€ 97,940.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady Traditionally Identified As Mary Paulet, Marchioness Of Winchester, Circa 1660 von Samuel Cooper wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
