This artwork by Samuel Cooper achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2018. In the Part I auction, the work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Lady Hardinge sold for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,207.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Samuel Cooper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Gentleman Called John Campbell, Earl of Loudoun (1598-1663), In Gilt-Studded Armour, Large White Patterned Lawn Collar; Sky And Cloud Background, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 66,000.00 (€ 97,940.68).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Samuel Cooper erzielte im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Part I wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Lady Hardinge für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.207,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00.
