Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Allegories of Beauty (Incomplete) #13 by Sam Samore was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2016. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,018.18). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sam Samore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tower of Lips, which sold at auction in February 2012 for GBP 37,250.00 (€ 44,477.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Allegories of Beauty (Incomplete) #13 von Sam Samore kam im April 2016 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.018,18) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sam Samore mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tower of Lips beobachtet, die im Februar 2012 für GBP 37.250,00 (€ 44.477,49) versteigert wurde.
