Despite a disappointment, a good price for Sam Messer
In February 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work A Helping Hand by Sam Messer for USD 3,900.00 (€ 2,947.85). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, A Helping Hand is the most expensive artwork by Sam Messer that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Sam Messer
Im Februar 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Helping Hand von Sam Messer für USD 3.900,00 (€ 2.947,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist A Helping Hand das teuerste Kunstwerk von Sam Messer, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
