The work Gonippo by Salvatore Scarpitta was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 375,000.00 (€ 436,972.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Salvatore Scarpitta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Housing Developed in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 2,535,000.00 (€ 2,940,418.20).

Die Arbeit Gonippo von Salvatore Scarpitta kam im Juni 2021 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 375.000,00 (€ 436.972,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Salvatore Scarpitta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Housing Developed im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.535.000,00 (€ 2.940.418,20).
