Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tenacious Grip by Salvatore Scarpitta was auctioned at Christies in Paris in October last year. The price achieved of EUR 504,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Salvatore Scarpitta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Housing Developed in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 2,535,000.00 (€ 2,940,418.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tenacious Grip von Salvatore Scarpitta kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 504.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Salvatore Scarpitta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Housing Developed im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.535.000,00 (€ 2.940.418,20).
