Upper estimate price exceeded by 38 %.
In February this year Bonhams held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Online, which included this untitled work by Salvatore Scarpitta. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,575.00 (€ 15,633.84), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salvatore Scarpitta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Housing Developed in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 2,535,000.00 (€ 2,940,418.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Salvatore Scarpitta zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 16.575,00 (€ 15.633,84) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salvatore Scarpitta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Housing Developed im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.535.000,00 (€ 2.940.418,20).
