This artwork by Ruth Root achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2016. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work without title sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,514.45) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ruth Root - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in December 2016 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,998.89).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ruth Root erzielte im September 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.514,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ruth Root mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Dezember 2016 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.998,89) versteigert wurde.
