Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2009 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Ruth Root for USD 312.50 (€ 244.06). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ruth Root achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,998.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2009 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ruth Root für USD 312,50 (€ 244,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ruth Root erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.998,89).
