Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Ruth Root was sold in the The Valencia Collection auction at Phillips in London in February 2011. The price achieved of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,711.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ruth Root have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,998.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ruth Root wurde im Februar 2011 in der Auktion The Valencia Collection bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.711,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ruth Root auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.998,89).
