This artwork by Ruth Root achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2017. In the Handpicked: 100 Works Selected by the Saatchi Gallery auction, the work without title sold for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,684.43) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ruth Root; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in December 2016 with the realized price of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,998.89).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ruth Root erzielte im März 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Handpicked: 100 Works Selected by the Saatchi Gallery wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.684,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ruth Root; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.998,89).
