Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain / Online, which included the work Large Charger With Bird Motif by Rupert Spira. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 813.00 (€ 917.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Rupert Spira have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Large Open Bowl in October last year with an auction result of GBP 3,528.00 (€ 4,110.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain / Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Large Charger With Bird Motif von Rupert Spira zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 813,00 (€ 917,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rupert Spira auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Large Open Bowl im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.528,00 (€ 4.110,08).
