Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Open Bowl by Rupert Spira was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,935.61). Other works by Rupert Spira have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October last year by the work Large Open Bowl at GBP 3,528.00 (€ 4,110.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Open Bowl von Rupert Spira im November 2019 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.935,61) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Rupert Spira wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres die Arbeit Large Open Bowl mit GBP 3.528,00 (€ 4.110,08).
