Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Rupert Spira achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2018. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Vase sold for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,707.83) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rupert Spira - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Large Open Bowl, which sold at auction in October last year for GBP 3,528.00 (€ 4,110.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rupert Spira erzielte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Vase für GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.707,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rupert Spira mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Large Open Bowl beobachtet, die im Oktober letzten Jahres für GBP 3.528,00 (€ 4.110,08) versteigert wurde.
