Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Constellation by Ross Bleckner. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 50,400.00 (€ 47,306.18). Admittedly, works by Ross Bleckner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of USD 277,200.00 (€ 258,317.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Constellation von Ross Bleckner zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 50.400,00 (€ 47.306,18) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ross Bleckner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 277.200,00 (€ 258.317,03).
