Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Bonhams held the auction European ArtHeritage and Innovation, 1850-1950, which included the work Sous-bois aux fougères by Rosa Bonheur. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 12,750.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rosa Bonheur achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Roi de la forêt in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 607,500.00 (€ 540,672.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion European ArtHeritage and Innovation, 1850-1950 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sous-bois aux fougères von Rosa Bonheur zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 12.750,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rosa Bonheur erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Roi de la forêt im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 607.500,00 (€ 540.672,84).
