In the The French Touch: Hommage à Alain et Catherine Bernard auction, the work Head Of A Ram sold for EUR 5,670.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rosa Bonheur achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Roi de la forêt in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 607,500.00 (€ 540,672.84).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Rosa Bonheur erzielte im September 2020 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The French Touch: Hommage à Alain et Catherine Bernard wurde die Arbeit Head Of A Ram für EUR 5.670,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rosa Bonheur erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Roi de la forêt im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 607.500,00 (€ 540.672,84).
