Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work 'Einstein At Work' by Roman Vishniac for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,033.13). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Roman Vishniac have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'The Vanished World' in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,242.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'Einstein At Work' von Roman Vishniac für USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.033,13) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roman Vishniac auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'The Vanished World' im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.125,00 (€ 20.242,55).
