The auction ended at the price of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,594.17), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roman Vishniac - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'The Vanished World', which sold at auction in October 2010 for USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,242.55).
