Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Roman Vishniac could be acquired at Bonhams in February this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Discovery on Madison Online auction, the work Untitled (Warsaw ghetto, hungry child) changed hands for USD 484.50 (€ 456.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 3,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roman Vishniac achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'The Vanished World' in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,242.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Roman Vishniac konnte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Discovery on Madison Online wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Warsaw ghetto, hungry child) für USD 484,50 (€ 456,99) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 3.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roman Vishniac erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'The Vanished World' im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.125,00 (€ 20.242,55).
