Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Roger Tory Peterson could be acquired at Christies in New York in August 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, the work Pheasant and Quail changed hands for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,281.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Roger Tory Peterson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work James Flamingos in the Andes in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,219.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Roger Tory Peterson konnte im August 2014 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Pheasant and Quail für USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.281,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roger Tory Peterson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit James Flamingos in the Andes im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 20.219,10).
