Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woodpeckers by Roger Tory Peterson was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2010. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,352.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roger Tory Peterson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work James Flamingos in the Andes, which sold at auction in September 2010 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,219.10).
