Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Roger Tory Peterson could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work South Texas Specialties changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,054.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roger Tory Peterson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work James Flamingos in the Andes, which sold at auction in September 2010 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,219.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Roger Tory Peterson konnte im September 2010 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit South Texas Specialties für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.054,78) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Roger Tory Peterson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit James Flamingos in the Andes beobachtet, die im September 2010 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 20.219,10) versteigert wurde.
