Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Morning Session, which included the work Two works: (i-ii) Untitled by Roger Brown. The price achieved of USD 35,280.00 (€ 28,847.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Roger Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cloud Cover in May last year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 234,833.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two works: (i-ii) Untitled von Roger Brown zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.280,00 (€ 28.847,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roger Brown auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cloud Cover im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 234.833,66).
