In May 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session, which included this untitled work by Rodolfo Nieto. The auction ended at the price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,908.24), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rodolfo Nieto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Toro in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 293,000.00 (€ 215,346.17).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2019 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rodolfo Nieto zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.908,24) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rodolfo Nieto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Toro im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 293.000,00 (€ 215.346,17).
