Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ocupado by Rodolfo Nieto was auctioned at Christies in New York in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 61,740.00 (€ 63,109.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rodolfo Nieto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Toro, which sold at auction in November 2013 for USD 293,000.00 (€ 215,346.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ocupado von Rodolfo Nieto kam im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 61.740,00 (€ 63.109,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Rodolfo Nieto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Toro beobachtet, die im November 2013 für USD 293.000,00 (€ 215.346,17) versteigert wurde.
