Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern, Contemporary & Latin American Art, which included the work Cylindro-chromatic Abstraction Construction #16 by Rodney Graham. The price achieved of USD 22,812.50 (€ 18,864.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rodney Graham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Inverted Drip Painting #47 in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 169,153.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Modern, Contemporary & Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cylindro-chromatic Abstraction Construction #16 von Rodney Graham zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 22.812,50 (€ 18.864,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rodney Graham auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Inverted Drip Painting #47 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 169.153,72).
