Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bench Press by Robin Rhode was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,637.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robin Rhode - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Street Gym, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 92,500.00 (€ 68,757.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bench Press von Robin Rhode kam im September 2015 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.637,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Robin Rhode mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Street Gym beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 92.500,00 (€ 68.757,90) versteigert wurde.
