Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work How I Love Ya, How I Love Ya (Tyler 615:RZ4) by Robert Zakanitch was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2002, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 298.75 (€ 302.41). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Zakanitch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hot Top (Copa Series) in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,137.89).
