Auction result misses estimated price range

In November 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Mrs Prochaska, née Kaiser, facing right in lace-bordered blue and white dress, gold brooch at corsage and gold pendant suspended from gold chain, gold earrings, her dark brown hair plaited and upswept by Robert Theer for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,869.80). This price was achieved in the auction Important Portrait Miniatures including works from the at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,500.00 s Admittedly, works by Robert Theer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tsar Alexander II of Russia (1818-1881), in black uniform with silver-embroidered red collar and silver epaulettes, wearing the blue moiré sash and breast-star of the Imperial Russian Order of St. Andrew in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,501.94).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Portrait Miniatures including works from the bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.500,00.
