Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Silver & Russian Works of Art, which included the work Unknown by Robert Theer. The price achieved of GBP 400.00 (€ 543.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Theer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tsar Alexander II of Russia (1818-1881), in black uniform with silver-embroidered red collar and silver epaulettes, wearing the blue moiré sash and breast-star of the Imperial Russian Order of St. Andrew in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,501.94).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tsar Alexander II of Russia (1818-1881), in black uniform with silver-embroidered red collar and silver epaulettes, wearing the blue moiré sash and breast-star of the Imperial Russian Order of St. Andrew im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.501,94).
