Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Christies in London held the auction Important Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes, which included the work A girl, in white dress and pantaloons with blue bows at puff shoulders and blue sash, gold necklace and drop-pearl earring, her brown hair dressed in ringlets, holding a bouquet of pink roses; woodland landscape and sky background by Robert Theer. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,312.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Theer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tsar Alexander II of Russia (1818-1881), in black uniform with silver-embroidered red collar and silver epaulettes, wearing the blue moiré sash and breast-star of the Imperial Russian Order of St. Andrew in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,501

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.312,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden.
