Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition by Robert Marc was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Bonhams in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,505.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Marc - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2020 for USD 44,062.50 (€ 36,878.56).

Die Arbeit Composition von Robert Marc wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 9.505,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Marc mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2020 für USD 44.062,50 (€ 36.878,56) versteigert wurde.
