Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work 'Vatican Sculptures', 1863 by Robert MacPherson for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,836.30). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Robert MacPherson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Mayfair: September (Vertical Orange) In Memory Of E.M.M. in August 2009 with an auction result of AUD 38,400.00 (€ 22,576.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'Vatican Sculptures', 1863 von Robert MacPherson für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.836,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert MacPherson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Mayfair: September (Vertical Orange) In Memory Of E.M.M. im August 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 38.400,00 (€ 22.576,12).
