Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2000 Christies in London held the auction 19th and 20th Century Photographs, which included the work Vatican Sculptures, Rome: MacPherson, 1 March 1868 by Robert MacPherson. The price achieved of GBP 564.00 (€ 964.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert MacPherson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Mayfair: September (Vertical Orange) In Memory Of E.M.M. in August 2009 with an auction result of AUD 38,400.00 (€ 22,576.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th and 20th Century Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vatican Sculptures, Rome: MacPherson, 1 March 1868 von Robert MacPherson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 564,00 (€ 964,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert MacPherson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Mayfair: September (Vertical Orange) In Memory Of E.M.M. im August 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 38.400,00 (€ 22.576,12).
