This artwork by Robert Gniewek achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in February 2007. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Descuento Farmacia (Discount Pharmacy) sold for USD 13,200.00 (€ 9,977.32) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Robert Gniewek; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Majestic Grill # 2 sold at auction in December 2020 with the realized price of EUR 10,965.00.
