Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paul McCartney and John Lennon, relaxing during a recording session at EMI Abbey Road recording studios, c. 1965 by Robert Freeman was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 729.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Robert Freeman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work With The Beatles, 1963 in May 2010 with an auction result of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,393.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Paul McCartney and John Lennon, relaxing during a recording session at EMI Abbey Road recording studios, c. 1965 von Robert Freeman kam im November 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 729,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Freeman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit With The Beatles, 1963 im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.393,65).
