Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horse (Study For Equestrian Monument I) by Robert Clatworthy was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,105.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Robert Clatworthy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horse & Rider in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,258.20).
