Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Standing Figure II by Robert Clatworthy for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,301.75). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art including Works from the Collection of Bannon & Barnabas McHenry at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Clatworthy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Horse & Rider, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,258.20).
