Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Head I by Robert Clatworthy was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,399.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Robert Clatworthy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horse & Rider in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,258.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Head I von Robert Clatworthy kam im März 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.399,56) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Clatworthy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horse & Rider im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 15.258,20).
