Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cat by Robert Clatworthy was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Christies in London in March 2015. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,184.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Clatworthy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Horse & Rider, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,258.20).
