This artwork by Robert Clatworthy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2017. In the Modern British & Irish Art auction, the work Horse and Rider sold for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,566.53) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Clatworthy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Horse & Rider, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,258.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 90 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Clatworthy erzielte im März 2017 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Horse and Rider für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.566,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Clatworthy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Horse & Rider beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 15.258,20) versteigert wurde.
